Many years ago there was a town called Magnolia in this same area. it was on the Wacissa river. When the rail road
was put through north of the town supplies were no longer shipped by riverboat so the town died.There was a cemetary there
called the Magnolia cemetary. At this point in time I have not been able to find it,however, I did find a list of names for
this cemetary on line. these Skippers were listed;
James W. Skipper 31 Mar. 1822 - 12 Mar 1869 Leon Lt. Artillary[battle of natural Bridge]
Catherine A. 16 June 1836 - 2 Mar 1857 [Wife of J.W.]
Mary C. 7 Mar. 1833 - 10 Jan 1856 [ Born at New Port, dau. of Catherine]
James Levy - 27 Mar 1856 - 23 July 1857 [Son of Catherine]
On the 1860 census for Leon co. I found these Skippers listed on page 10.
